Obecnie s\u0105 to pokoje restauracji, ale zachowane w dobrym stylu z epoki. Na pi\u0119trze pokoje i ciekawe kr\u0119cone schody, jak s\u0105dz\u0119 wsp\u00f3\u0142czesne, co nie zmienia faktu, \u017ce bardzo pi\u0119kne. The Black Lady from B\u0119dlewo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The full moon, frogs croak in the pond of the palace park, the tawny owl hoots. The guests sleep in their own rooms. Already in the 12th century, the knightly family of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a ruled this area and their manor house or castle probably stood nearby. The first known owners of Bedlewo in 1343 were the sons of Sedziwoj from \u0141\u00f3d\u017a: Jan, the bishop of Pozna\u0144 and Miko\u0142aj. The descendants of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a are B\u0119dleweski and, I think, hence the name of the town. In the fifteenth century, the B\u0119dlewskis built a manor, there are notes on this subject in satire books from 1434. In later times, the manor and the goods around it passed from hand to hand. If you are interested, please refer to professional literature. We are interested in the Potocki family, who took over Wronczyn and B\u0119dlewo on December 3, 1782, namely Stanis\u0142aw Kostka Potocki. This is how the reign of the Potocki family begins and an interesting story with a murder in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lady dressed in a black, lacy dress walks up the steps. A veil covers her face. She glides through the corridors, pauses in front of the closed doors of the palace chambers as if listening, as if looking for someone. She was gone until the hair bristled. It is said that the spirit of the beautiful Felicja wanders around the palace at night. Felicja and Alfred Miaczy\u0144ski had an affair, and the betrayed husband Maciej Mil\u017cyniski would shoot them at the court in Dakowy Mokre. An interesting fact is that he was not punished for his act. The court acquitted the perpetrator because he defended his family’s honor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s go back to the Potocki family. During their reign, goods prosper and flourish. Potocki was the founder of the bank Kwilecki Potocki i Sp\u00f3\u0142ka. He gave the company Teatr Polski a square and a garden for the construction of a theater in Pozna\u0144. He rebuilt the manor. There was even central heating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today the palace is prospering. Right from the entrance we can admire the beautiful stairs in the hall and the wooden balustrade with the coat of arms of the Potocki family – Pilawa. The wooden paneling on the ceiling is very impressive. Knight’s hall with equally worthy decorations. There used to be wall paintings with images of Polish kings. They were destroyed by the Germans. The ones we see are recreated today – as can be seen. The ground floor consists of rooms in the enfilade. These are now restaurant rooms, but preserved in a period style. On the first floor, there are rooms and an interesting spiral staircase, modern, I believe, which does not change the fact that they are very beautiful. The park is 9 hectares of land and it is a place to walk in silence and in greenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the palace is owned by the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Conferences and meetings are held here, distinguished mathematicians are hosted here, but not only. There are politicians and artists. The hotel base can accommodate 150 people. In a word, it is worth visiting this place, spending the night in a palace, or maybe meeting a black lady on a moonlit night?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
